It is with great pleasure that I write to invite you to our 5th Annual Somali Unity Day Festival
on Sunday, 01 July 2012. It will be held on the back field of Rainier Community Center at 4600 38th Avenue South Seattle, WA 98118 from 2:00pm to 8:00pm. This event is meant to celebrate our birth place as well as our cultural heritage. There will be various events and activities for all ages.
The celebration will be marked by several cultural dances unique to our culture and background. Students and community members have been practicing for months in order to correctly and elegantly portray our cultural dance in the most appropriate sense so that all audiences can form some understanding of our culture. The event will also include Singing of cultural songs, Poetry, and a Fashion Show that will highlight a look into how Somali Fashion Trends progressed with influences of the West and the Modern World. Towards the middle of the evening we will leave room for our key note speaker and a few other influential speakers. The evening will commence with a final dance and song and the Somali National Anthem being song by all attendees. Additional information about the event, together with details about how to donate or purchase and set up a table to inform guests about your organization or future events; is enclosed.
I would be extremely grateful if you could R.S.V.P your interest to obtain a table by no later than Thursday 28 June to firstname.lastname@example.org or 206-760-1115. Thank you so much for your support
