Please join us the 7th Annual Somali Independence day Festival in Seattle-USA to celebrate the 54th Anniversary of Somali independence Day on Thursday June 26th, 2014 at Rainier Cultural Center. 3515 Alaska St Seattle, WA 98118 from 7:00-11:00 PM. This Somali Independence Festival is organized by Somali Youth & Family Club (Director -Hamdi Abdulle), Somali Community Service of Seattle (Director-Sahra Farah), East African Community Services (Director-Faisal Jama) and Afrique Service Center (Director-Mohammed Sheikh). This gathering is unique and powerful testimony of the love affection of Somali people living in Seattle.
The celebration will be marked by several cultural dances unique to our Somali culture. Students and community members have been practicing for months in order to correctly and elegantly portray our cultural dance in the most appropriate sense so that all audiences can form some understanding of our culture.
This event will also include Singing of cultural songs, Poetry, and a Fashion Show that will highlight a look into how Somali Fashion.Towards the middle of the evening we have key note speaker and a few other influential speakers.
