Somali Community of Seattle :Small business opportunity!

Horn of Africa Services, Somali Community Services of Seattle and African Chamber of Commerce PNW in collaboration with the Federal Refugee and Resettlement Office hereby invites eligible and qualified women refugees to open home child care centers in Seattle area. The project supports eligible applicants in the following areas;

• GED and ESL Training.
• Basic financial skills and family child care business management training focused on business plan preparation, customer service, marketing, cash flow projection, tax preparation and general small business management training.
• WA State STAR certification training in Early Child Education.
• Child care safety training and technical assistance by experts from Seattle King County Public Health.
• $2000.00 stipend for child care business startup.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants for this project should be Refugee women who have been living in the US since 2008.
Those who are interested to apply for this project can register before 1st February 2013 in person at main office located at 4714 Rainier Avenue South Suite 105, Seattle, WA 98118.
